What the rules cover, and how exhibitors set it up.

Your own router is allowed

The Exhibitor Success Guide, page 20, says that with your own wireless router “you will need to provide all configurations and support yourself.” No Venetian document we found mentions cellular gateways or hotspots.

Set it up wired

Event Service Technology recommends a hardwire for every device. Switch MR·NET’s Wi-Fi off and plug laptops, card readers and screens into its four Ethernet ports. You add no Wi-Fi to the hall and never touch the venue’s network.

Federal law protects you

The FCC says no convention center or its network operator may block or disrupt personal Wi-Fi hot spots, and jamming Wi-Fi or cellular signals is illegal.

Questions exhibitors ask
About the Venetian Expo.

Who provides internet at the Venetian Expo?

Event Service Technology, which the Venetian Expo's Exhibitor Success Guide calls “the exclusive provider of all Internet services.” It sells hardwired shared and hardwired dedicated service only: “Wireless Internet service is not available.” Orders go through venetianlasvegas.com/boothorders. Call 702.733.5531 on weekdays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. PST, or email internetsupport@es.venetianlasvegas.com.

How much does internet cost at the Venetian Expo?

No public Venetian document prints exhibitor internet prices, and each show's online store requires a sign-in, so ask Event Service Technology for a quote. The Exhibitor Success Guide lists shared service (up to 3 or 10 Mbps) and dedicated service from 10 Mbps to 1 Gbps, more by quote. It states no pricing basis (per show or per day), taxes or fees.

When should I order internet at the Venetian Expo?

Order and pay in full no later than 21 calendar days before show opening day to get the discounted early bird rate, per page 7 of the Venetian Expo's Exhibitor Success Guide; only rigging is excluded. After that cutoff, orders are invoiced at the standard rate, and from 24 hours before opening at the show-site rate. Cancellations 8 or more days before published move-in are fully refundable.

Can I bring my own internet to the Venetian Expo?

Yes. MR·NET customers have deployed at the Venetian Expo. The venue's Meetings FAQs say “you need to provide your own wireless router or access point” for wireless devices, and no Venetian document we found mentions cellular gateways. The Exhibitor Success Guide reserves installing “All antennas on or around the building” to venue labor. Event Service Technology recommends hardwiring every device, so run MR·NET with Wi-Fi off and devices on Ethernet.

Can the venue block or jam my hotspot or cellular gateway?

No. The FCC's Enforcement Bureau says no convention center or network operator providing service there may intentionally block or disrupt personal Wi-Fi hot spots, and federal law prohibits jamming Wi-Fi or cellular signals. The FCC has fined a convention center internet provider $750,000 and a hotel operator $600,000 for blocking hotspots. If you suspect blocking, file a complaint at fcc.gov/complaints. This is not legal advice.

Is there cellular coverage inside the Venetian Expo?

The Venetian Expo publishes no cellular coverage statement. Its Technical Services page calls the building “one of the largest 5G buildings in the world” but names no carriers. MR·NET bonds Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile, so your booth doesn't rely on any single one.

How do I order venue internet at the Venetian Expo?

Venetian Expo exhibitors order through their show's store at venetianlasvegas.com/boothorders, which needs a sign-in. For a quote, email Event Service Technology at internetsupport@es.venetianlasvegas.com or call 702.733.5531, Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. PST. Cable under flooring needs 1.5 hours of electrical labor and a cabling diagram sent to servicecenter@venetianlasvegas.com seven business days before move-in.
