A cellular bonding router holds several cellular modems, each with its own SIM. It splits your outgoing traffic across every carrier at once, and a bonding server in the cloud puts the packets back in order and hands them to the internet as one connection. Is bonding the same as failover?
No. A failover or multi-SIM router uses one carrier at a time and switches only when it fails, which usually drops calls and streams for a moment. Bonding uses every carrier at once, so when one slows or drops, traffic moves to the others and session persistence keeps your stream or call going. Speed drops with fewer carriers, so leave headroom.
Bonded encoder or bonding router?

What are the limits of cellular bonding?
It depends on cellular signal where you set up. Speed varies by venue and time of day, a big crowd loads every nearby tower, and concrete or metal buildings weaken signal indoors. Bonding gives your traffic more than one path, but it can’t create signal where there is none, so test at your production position and add venue Ethernet or a LEO satellite terminal for hard locations.
