CES 2027 Exhibitor Internet: Costs and How to Bring Your Own
CES 2027 runs January 6 to 9 in Las Vegas. Spectrum Business is the exclusive internet provider at the Las Vegas Convention Center, where complete, paid orders by December 7 get discounted rates, and Event Service Technology serves the Venetian Expo, with advance rates by December 9. CES says its new free hall Wi-Fi is “not recommended for exhibitor product demonstrations.” MR·NET bonds Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile into one booth connection, starting with a $300 first-month trial plus data.

Orders by December 7 are installed and live by midnight on January 5, and service is disconnected at the close of the show on January 9 unless you tell Spectrum otherwise. A dedicated 25 Mbps line is $10,000 at the discounted rate. Spectrum doesn’t permit routing devices on its shared network.
Bring MR·NET to CES 2027
Deployed at the LVCC by our customers.
What the show rules say, and how exhibitors set it up.
What the CES rules say
The CES 2027 Rules & Regulations don’t mention hotspots or cellular routers. At the LVCC, Spectrum asks for at least three weeks’ notice of any wireless router or access point in a booth, “even if you are not ordering Internet service.” The Venetian Expo permits exhibitor access points but strongly discourages them. Get CES’s and the provider’s answer in writing before you ship.
Set it up wired
Switch MR·NET’s Wi-Fi off and plug the demo PC, POS station and screen player into its four Ethernet ports, so the booth broadcasts no Wi-Fi. The LVCC manual says exhibitors can’t run cables on the floor or under carpet, so keep cable runs inside your booth.
Blocking and jamming are illegal
The FCC says no convention center or its network operator may intentionally block or disrupt personal Wi-Fi hot spots, and federal law bans jamming Wi-Fi or cellular signals. A show’s own rules are a separate, contractual matter.
What you’d save at LVCC prices
Own it once, use it at every show.
Compared with a 10 Mbps dedicated line at the LVCC at the discounted rate ($4,500; $5,400 after December 7 and $6,480 after December 30), from Spectrum’s order form. Data: 25 GB a show day (our customers use 10 to 40 GB) for the 4-day show floor at $8/GB. Excludes shipping and tax.
Before CES
Five things to do.
Find your hall and its provider: Spectrum Business at the LVCC, Event Service Technology at the Venetian Expo. ARIA, Mandalay Bay and the Fontainebleau sell their own.
Decide on venue internet before December 7 (LVCC) or December 9 (Venetian Expo). After that, prices go up.
Notify Spectrum by December 5 if anything in an LVCC booth broadcasts Wi-Fi: that’s three weeks before exhibitor move-in opens on December 26. Get the confirmation in writing.
Send the provider and CES a one-line description, “cellular bonding gateway, Wi-Fi off, Ethernet only,” and keep the reply.
Test the real demo at the office, ship with time to spare, then check signal and run a test transaction at the booth on move-in day.
Questions exhibitors ask
About internet at CES 2027.
Does CES have free Wi-Fi for exhibitors?
Yes, for the first time. For CES 2027, complimentary Wi-Fi is new in the LVCC and Venetian Expo exhibit halls. CES also says: “Complimentary Wi-fi is intended for basic use and not recommended for exhibitor product demonstrations. High speed internet options are available for purchase.”
How much does internet cost at CES?
At the LVCC, Spectrum Business lists shared service up to 3 Mbps at $500 discounted and $600 standard, a dedicated 10 Mbps line at $4,500 discounted and $5,400 standard ($6,480 for orders after December 30), and booth Wi-Fi hotspots from $1,750. Venetian Expo prices are by quote. MR·NET’s $300 first-month trial plus data at $8/GB comes to $1,100 for four show days at 25 GB a day, plus $24 shipping and tax.
When should I order internet for CES 2027?
At the LVCC, Spectrum needs complete, paid orders with floor plans by December 7 for discounted rates; orders after December 30 pay an extra 20% of the standard rate. At the Venetian Expo, order by December 9 for advance rates. If you bring an MR·NET gateway, standard shipping takes 3 to 5 days, so leave time to test it first.
Who sells exhibitor internet at each CES venue?
Spectrum Business at the Las Vegas Convention Center and Event Service Technology (previously SES) at the Venetian Expo. ARIA is the exclusive provider at ARIA, Mandalay Bay is CES’s official vendor at Mandalay Bay, and the Fontainebleau (CES Foundry) lists Encore. Those three don’t print prices on their CES manual pages, so ask for a written quote and the order deadline. Venetian Exhibit Suites have their own order forms, due November 4.
Can I bring my own internet to CES?
The CES 2027 Rules and Regulations we reviewed don’t mention hotspots or cellular routers. At the LVCC, Spectrum asks exhibitors to give at least three weeks’ notice of any wireless router or access point. The Venetian Expo permits exhibitor routers and access points but strongly discourages them and sets requirements, such as low transmit power and 5 GHz only. Run an MR·NET gateway with Wi-Fi off over Ethernet, and get the provider’s and CES’s answer in writing before you ship.
Will a phone hotspot work at CES?
The CES 2027 rules we reviewed don’t mention hotspots. A phone hotspot uses one carrier on a consumer plan and shares towers with everyone in the hall, so it is fine for email and risky for a live demo or card payments. MR·NET bonds Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile at once on enterprise-tier SIMs instead.
What if my booth can’t use outside Wi-Fi?
Switch the MR·NET gateway’s Wi-Fi off. Your devices connect over its four Gigabit Ethernet ports and the booth broadcasts no Wi-Fi. Describe that setup to the venue’s provider and to CES, and get their answer in writing before the show.
Where do the CES and venue documents disagree?
On a few points. Spectrum’s general LVCC form ties its rates to 30 days before the event and adds a 20% expedite fee inside 72 hours, while the CES manual uses December 7 and December 30: follow the CES manual. The LVCVA’s venue page still lists a Cox order email; the CES manual uses DL-LVCC-Orders@spectrum.com, (855) 519-2624 and a CES hotline, (702) 943-6CES. The Venetian Expo’s own guide says wireless internet isn’t available and sets a 21-day deadline (December 16); for CES 2027, free hall Wi-Fi is new and the manual’s deadline is December 9, so use the earlier date.
Can the venue block my hotspot?
FCC Enforcement Advisory DA 15-113 says venues and their network operators may not intentionally block or disrupt personal Wi-Fi hotspots. MR·NET also looked at the FCC’s OTARD rule (47 CFR 1.4000), and we found no FCC ruling applying OTARD to an exhibitor booth. This is not legal advice.
How long does setup take?
A few minutes. The MR·NET gateway arrives preconfigured: plug in power, connect your devices over Ethernet or Wi-Fi, and test your demo before the show.
Can I get a quote for MR·NET at CES 2027?
Yes. Use “Get a quote” on this page, tell us what needs to be online, and we’ll get back to you right away, or call (845) 666-0696. For several booths, ask about batch purchases.
