Exhibitors have five internet options: the venue’s line, a rented kit, a phone hotspot, LEO satellite, or a bonded cellular gateway such as MR·NET. A dedicated 10 Mbps venue line costs $4,500 to $13,542 per show at 2026 early-order rates, and up to $18,056 ordered late. Phone hotspots ride one carrier that may slow hotspot data in crowds, and LEO satellite needs open sky that exhibit halls lack. A dedicated 10 Mbps line is $4,500 at the Las Vegas Convention Center if ordered and paid 30 days ahead, and $13,542 at the Javits Center at the advance rate ($18,056 standard). MR·NET’s figure is a first show on the trial ($300 for the first month, credited toward purchase, plus data at $8/GB), before shipping and tax; on the annual plan, three shows a year cost about $1,100 to $1,430 each.

When the venue line makes sense
Order the venue’s line when your show requires it, you need a fixed wired speed (up to 1 Gbps at some venues), or your hall’s cell signal is weak. Order early: rates rise after the advance deadline and again on site.
Set it up wired
For demos, payments, lead capture and video, a bonded cellular gateway such as MR·NET plugs into your booth over Ethernet. Run it with its Wi-Fi off where the venue’s provider restricts wireless devices, and get the show’s OK when its rules ask for it.
Blocking and jamming are illegal
The FCC says no convention center or its network operator may intentionally block or disrupt personal Wi-Fi hot spots, and federal law bans jamming Wi-Fi or cellular signals. A show’s own rules are a separate, contractual matter.

How fast does your booth need to be? Live video needs far more upload than lead capture and email.
Is the venue’s advance deadline still open? After it, venue rates rise.
Is your booth indoors or outdoors? LEO satellite needs open sky; cellular needs signal.
How many shows a year? A gateway you own pays off across several shows.

What is the best internet option for a trade show booth?
If your hall has good Verizon, AT&T or T-Mobile signal and you run demos, payments or video, a bonded cellular gateway such as MR·NET: it combines Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile into one connection, costs about $900 for a 3-day show on the trial, and doesn’t depend on the venue’s network. Order the venue line instead when your show requires it.
Is a phone hotspot enough for a trade show booth?
Rarely. A hotspot uses one carrier; Verizon says hotspot data “may be temporarily slower” during congestion, and T-Mobile puts on-device data ahead of tethering. It can cover email; for demos, payments or video, use a bonded gateway such as MR·NET.
Can I use LEO satellite internet at a trade show?
Usually not indoors: a satellite dish needs an open view of the sky, and exhibit halls block it. Venues also control antennas and cable runs; the Venetian Expo, for example, reserves antennas on or around the building to its own labor. It can work for an outdoor exhibit if the show allows it.
Should I rent internet equipment for a trade show?
Renting suits one or two shows a year if you want a kit delivered; rented kits are often bonded cellular or satellite gear you could own. If you exhibit more often, compare a year of rentals with owning a gateway such as MR·NET: $2,498 the first year with the gateway, then $1,499 a year, plus data.
How much does venue internet cost at a trade show?
At the major U.S. venues in our guides, a dedicated 10 Mbps line costs $4,500 (LVCC) to $13,542 (Javits Center) per show at 2026 early-order rates, up to $18,056 ordered late. Shared drops cost less, from $500 at the LVCC, but serve one device or charge per extra one.
Can a venue stop me from bringing my own internet?
A venue and its network operator can’t legally block or jam your hotspot or gateway (FCC Enforcement Advisory DA 15-113). A show’s own contract can still set rules, so check your exhibitor manual, and run your gateway wired with its Wi-Fi off where the venue’s provider restricts wireless devices.
What is bonded cellular internet?
A gateway that combines several cellular carriers into one connection and shifts traffic among them, so one congested network doesn’t have to stall your booth. MR·NET’s gateway bonds Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile on enterprise-priority SIMs and has four Ethernet ports for booth devices.
