Bring MR·NET to Moscone Center

What the rules cover, and how exhibitors set it up.
What the rule covers
Moscone Facility Services’ Telecommunications Order Form 2026 says “Customer/exhibitor provided wireless AP/router are not permitted on site.” It’s printed on the provider’s own order form, and it doesn’t mention cellular gateways.
Set it up wired
Moscone’s rule is about wireless APs and routers, so switch MR·NET’s Wi-Fi off and plug laptops and POS devices into its four Ethernet ports. You add no Wi-Fi to the hall and never touch Moscone’s network.
Federal law protects you
The FCC says no convention center or its network operator may block or disrupt personal Wi-Fi hot spots, and jamming Wi-Fi or cellular signals is illegal.
What you’d save at Moscone Center
Own it once, use it at every show.
Compared with a 10 Mbps dedicated line (ShowConnect 10) at Moscone Center at the Advance Rate ($10,995, Telecommunications Order Form 2026, no effective dates printed). The form doesn't say per day or per show; we count it once per show. Data: 25 GB a show day (our customers use 10 to 40 GB) for a 3-day show at $8/GB. Excludes shipping and tax.
Before the show
Five things to do.
Need a venue line too? Order and pay 10 business days before the event.
Miss it and Standard Rates apply: ShowConnect 10 goes from $10,995 to $11,995.
Pack a switch and Ethernet cables for your booth devices.
Run MR·NET with Wi-Fi off and test it at your office first.
Use the 2026 order form from moscone.com/internet-telecom; a 2023 form is still online.
Questions exhibitors ask
About Moscone Center.
Who provides internet at Moscone Center?
Moscone Facility Services (MFS). Moscone Center calls it “the exclusive provider of wired and wireless internet and telephone service for the Moscone Center.” Exhibitors order on the MFS Telecommunications Order Form 2026 and send it to internet@moscone.com. The form and the Contact Us page list 415-974-4080; the Internet & Telecom and WiFi pages list (415) 974-4126.
How much does internet cost at Moscone Center?
At the Advance Rate, Moscone's 2026 order form prints $800 for Economy Plus (up to 1 Mbps shared), $1,000 for Standard Wireless and $1,295 for Standard Internet (up to 10 Mbps shared), each for one device, and $4,195 to $15,995 for ShowConnect dedicated lines of 3 to 20 Mbps. Standard rates run $900 to $17,995. It doesn't say per day or per show and prints no tax line.
When should I order internet at Moscone Center?
Order at least 10 business days ahead: the form's Advance Rate column is headed “10 business days before event,” and a higher Standard Rate applies after that. Payment must come with the order: “Services will not be provided until completed order form and payment is received.” Cancelling a line costs $50 before installation and 50% after, and nothing can be cancelled once the event begins.
Can I bring my own internet to Moscone Center?
Yes. MR·NET customers have deployed at Moscone Center. Moscone Facility Services' Telecommunications Order Form 2026 says “Customer/exhibitor provided wireless AP/router are not permitted on site. All 802.11 wireless/RF will be provided by Moscone Facility Services.” The rule is about wireless access points, routers and 802.11 and doesn't mention cellular gateways. Run MR·NET with its Wi-Fi off and your devices on Ethernet, so you add no Wi-Fi to the hall.
Can the venue block or jam my hotspot or cellular gateway?
No. The FCC's Enforcement Bureau says no convention center or network operator providing service there may intentionally block or disrupt personal Wi-Fi hot spots, and federal law prohibits jamming Wi-Fi or cellular signals. The FCC has fined a convention center internet provider $750,000 and a hotel operator $600,000 for blocking hotspots. If you suspect blocking, file a complaint at fcc.gov/complaints. This is not legal advice.
Is there cellular coverage inside Moscone Center?
Moscone Center's Internet & Telecom page (revised February 10, 2026) says its Distributed Antenna System, with AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile and Sprint, “provides coverage throughout the campus,” but “Capacity is based on each carrier, and they do not share the information with us.” No capacity figure is published. MR·NET bonds Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile, all on Moscone's list, so your booth doesn't rely on any single one.
How do I order venue internet at Moscone Center?
Get the Telecommunications Order Form 2026 from moscone.com/internet-telecom, not the 2023 form still linked from Moscone's older internet page. Mark your drop on the form's booth drawing or attach a floor plan, then send the form with payment to internet@moscone.com. Moscone lists two phone numbers, 415-974-4080 and (415) 974-4126. In Halls D and E, connections come “from centrally located floor ports.”
