Javits Center Internet for Exhibitors
The Javits Center sells exhibitor internet itself: its service-order terms say its operator “owns and operates the wireless internet and/or wired internet services.” Its 2026 Exhibitor Price List prints advance rates from $210 to $110,478, for orders received 15 days before the event opening date. MR·NET customers have deployed here, including for exhibitor demos at NAB Show New York.

What the rules cover, and how exhibitors set it up.
No published restriction
The Javits Center’s Operational Policies and service-order terms contain no rule on hotspots, cellular routers or exhibitor access points. The Policies list work exhibitors may do themselves, including “Connect modems, printers, computers and keyboards.”
Set it up wired
Switch MR·NET’s Wi-Fi off and plug laptops, card readers and screens into its four Ethernet ports, with cables above the booth carpet. You add no Wi-Fi to the hall and never touch the venue’s network.
Federal law protects you
The FCC says no convention center or its network operator may block or disrupt personal Wi-Fi hot spots, and jamming Wi-Fi or cellular signals is illegal.
What you’d save at the Javits Center
Own it once, use it at every show.
Compared with a 10 Mbps dedicated line at the Javits Center at the advance rate ($13,542, 10 Mbps Managed Service, Javits 2026 Exhibitor Price List, show-hosted copy, footer dated September 5, 2025). Data: 25 GB a show day (our customers use 10 to 40 GB) for a 3-day show at $8/GB. Excludes shipping and tax.
Before the show
Five things to do.
Need a venue line too? Order 15 days before opening; the payment date sets the rate.
Miss it and standard rates apply: a Basic drop goes from $1,575 to $2,100.
Pack a switch and Ethernet cables for your booth devices.
Run MR·NET with Wi-Fi off and test it at your office first.
Order booth power: permanent building utility outlets are “not to be used by exhibitors.”
Questions exhibitors ask
About the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.
Who provides internet at the Javits Center?
The venue itself. The Javits Center's service-order terms say its operator, the New York Convention Center Operating Corporation, “owns and operates the wireless internet and/or wired internet services.” Orders go through the Javits Service Portal at orders.javitscenter.com, which requires a login. For questions, call Exhibitor Solutions at (212) 216-2319 or email services@javitscenter.com.
How much does internet cost at the Javits Center?
A copy of the Javits Center 2026 Exhibitor Price List on a show's website lists these advance rates: Wi-Fi at $262.75 per device ($210 each for 5 or more), Business Grade drops from $1,575 to $3,676, and Managed Service lines from $3,126 (1.5 Mbps) to $110,478 (above 500 Mbps). Each price covers up to 5 days of service. Standard rates are higher, and “State and Local taxes” are added.
When should I order internet at the Javits Center?
The Javits Center's service-order terms (update 8.19.25) say: “To qualify for advance rates, service order must be received 15 days prior to the event opening date.” They add: “Date payment is received shall determine the applicable rate.” After that, standard rates apply, for example $2,100 instead of $1,575 for a Basic drop. Your show's exhibitor manual may set its own dates.
Can I bring my own internet to the Javits Center?
Yes. MR·NET customers have deployed at the Javits Center, including for exhibitor demos at NAB Show New York. The venue's Operational Policies and service-order terms (update 8.19.25) contain no rule on hotspots, cellular routers or exhibitor access points, and the Policies let exhibitors “Connect modems, printers, computers and keyboards” themselves. Run MR·NET with its Wi-Fi off and your devices on Ethernet, so you add no Wi-Fi to the hall.
Can the venue block or jam my hotspot or cellular gateway?
No. The FCC's Enforcement Bureau says no convention center or network operator providing service there may intentionally block or disrupt personal Wi-Fi hot spots, and federal law prohibits jamming Wi-Fi or cellular signals. The FCC has fined a convention center internet provider $750,000 and a hotel operator $600,000 for blocking hotspots. If you suspect blocking, file a complaint at fcc.gov/complaints. This is not legal advice.
Is there cellular coverage inside the Javits Center?
We found no published carrier coverage statement for the Javits Center's halls. March 2026 board minutes mention “the combination of 5G and Wi-Fi 7” without coverage detail. The venue's Technology Solutions team is at (212) 216-5432 or technology@javitscenter.com. MR·NET bonds Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile, so your booth doesn't rely on any single one.
How do I order venue internet at the Javits Center?
Order through the Javits Service Portal at orders.javitscenter.com, which requires a login, and attach a booth diagram to technology orders, as the terms require. The terms also make sizing your bandwidth your job. Exhibitor Solutions answers questions at (212) 216-2319 or services@javitscenter.com, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM ET.
