MR·NET bonds Verizon, AT&T and T‑Mobile into one booth connection. The first-show trial is $995 plus tax: the gateway with 3 SIMs, 100 GB of data (then $8/GB) and standard shipping (3 to 5 days). For first-time customers: one unit, one show, up to 30 days.

What the show rules say, and how exhibitors set it up.

What the rules say

IAAPA’s policies say “Livestreaming of any kind is not permitted,” and exhibitors may take orders only for future delivery. The Smart City order packet IAAPA links says “Wireless Devices not authorized by Smart City are strictly prohibited.” Get IAAPA’s OK in writing before you bring MR·NET.

Set it up wired

Once IAAPA approves, switch MR·NET’s Wi-Fi off and plug terminals, game cabinets, kiosks and laptops into its four Ethernet ports. Ticketing, cashless and game demos then run on one bonded Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile connection.

Blocking and jamming are illegal

The FCC says no convention center or its network operator may intentionally block or disrupt personal Wi-Fi hot spots, and federal law bans jamming Wi-Fi or cellular signals. A show’s own rules are a separate, contractual matter.

Questions exhibitors ask
About IAAPA Expo 2026.

How much does internet cost at IAAPA Expo 2026?

Smart City Networks sells it at the prices in the order form IAAPA links. After the Oct 12 incentive deadline, base rates apply: $1,395 for Premium, a shared 10 Mbps connection for light use, and $9,810 for a dedicated 10 Mbps line. From the start of move-in on Nov 12, on-site rates are 20% higher, so 10 Mbps costs $11,772. Add an estimated 10% for taxes and fees.

Who sells booth internet at IAAPA Expo?

Smart City Networks, the exclusive provider of internet and telephone services at the Orange County Convention Center, and IAAPA’s listed contractor for both. Order at orders.smartcitynetworks.com, call (888) 446-6911 or email customerservice@smartcitynetworks.com, and send a floor plan.

When is the internet deadline for IAAPA Expo 2026?

IAAPA lists Oct 12, 2026 as Smart City’s incentive order deadline, for orders received with payment 30 days before the first day of move-in. Base prices then apply until move-in starts on Nov 12, and orders placed on-site or after move-in starts cost base plus 20%.

Is there free Wi-Fi for exhibitors at IAAPA Expo?

Yes, for light use. IAAPA says its Wi-Fi is free for checking email and sending texts, and that if you plan to stream videos, download files or use it for more complex needs, “we highly recommend you arrange your own connection.”

Can I bring my own internet to IAAPA Expo?

Ask IAAPA first, at Exhibitors@IAAPA.org. The Smart City order packet IAAPA links says “Wireless Devices not authorized by Smart City are strictly prohibited,” while Smart City’s Ordering Guide says a personal hotspot will work in the building, though user density can make it unreliable. If approved, run MR·NET wired with its Wi-Fi off, so you add no Wi-Fi or access point to the hall. MR·NET customers have deployed at the OCCC.

Can I livestream or sell from my IAAPA booth?

Plan on no. IAAPA’s show policies say “Livestreaming of any kind is not permitted.” The line sits in its rules on press and attendee photography, so ask Exhibitors@IAAPA.org before streaming from your booth. Cash-and-carry and take-away sales are banned; exhibitors may take orders for future delivery only.

Can the venue block or jam my hotspot or cellular gateway?

No. The FCC’s Enforcement Bureau says no convention center or network operator providing service there may intentionally block or disrupt personal Wi-Fi hot spots, and federal law prohibits jamming Wi-Fi or cellular signals. A show’s own rules are a separate, contractual matter, so get the show’s OK first. This is not legal advice.

When are move-in and show hours at IAAPA Expo 2026?

Targeted move-in starts Nov 12, general move-in runs Nov 14 to 16, and booths must be mostly set by 5 p.m. on Monday, Nov 16. The show floor is open Tuesday to Thursday, Nov 17 to 19, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Friday, Nov 20, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the OCCC’s South and West Buildings. Education runs Nov 16 to 19.
